A Danny Woodhead injury was literally the last thing the San Diego Chargers needed after Ryan Mathews injury. San Diego's offense has looked good on their first drive against the Buffalo Bills, but they'll struggle in this game and in future games if they are missing both of their top two running backs.
On replay, it looked like Woodhead's ankle got caught underneath him. Ankle injuries usually aren't as bad as knee injuries, but it's a very bad sign that he left the game on a cart instead of walking off the field.
The drive ended with Eddie Royal catching a 3-yard touchdown pass, giving the Chargers an early 7-0 lead in the first quarter.
Without counting TE/FB David Johnson, the Chargers are down to just two active RBs for this game, Donald Brown and former Buffalo Bulls RB Branden Oliver. Can they create enough offensive balance to pick up a road win over the 2-0 Bills?
