Chargers Roster Moves: San Diego Chargers sign former SDSU QB Ryan Lindley to practice squad

The San Diego Chargers have signed former SDSU Aztec and Arizona Cardinals QB Ryan Lindley to their practice squad.

So much for my hope that the San Diego Chargers might use their practice squad to employ a mobile QB or Brad Sorensen, because they announced today that they have signed former San Diego State Aztec QB Ryan Lindley to their practice squad.

Lindley is an okay player, mostly a pocket passer that doesn't have an exception arm or accuracy, but there will be a ton of local Aztec fans that will be thrilled to see Lindley back in Qualcomm Stadium.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that the Chargers are playing the Cardinals in Week 1, and Lindley might simply be getting this call to help the San Diego defense prepare for Bruce Arians' offense.

Assuming CB Greg Ducre's spot on the practice squad is locked up, that leaves eight remaining spots.
