Attaochu said he wanted to play for San Diego because he saw the team once on television, deciding then he'd enjoy San Diego. It was the same organic tie he felt watching Georgia Tech defeat Miami on television years before committing.

Along with addressing all of the team's primary needs, the six-player group collectively adds speed to the roster. Factor in the debut of a 2013 draft pick, and it's safe to at least expect San Diego to have an extra gear on the field in 2014.
