I guess this is news. The San Diego Chargers, along with every other NFL team, has released their preseason schedule.
Now, there's no dates and times, but we do know who the team is playing which week and where. It looks like this:
- Preseasson Week 1: Cowboys at Chargers
- Preseason Week 2: Chargers at Seahawks
- Preseason Week 3: Chargers at 49ers (national TV game, FOX)
- Preseason Week 4: Cardinals at Chargers
Yes, the Chargers play essentially the same four teams every preseason. This is because the teams want to play each other while also reducing travel and avoiding division matchups. The Cardinals, 49ers, and Seahawks are the three closest NFC teams to San Diego, and the Cowboys get included for another year because they continue to hold their training camp in Oxnard, CA.
That being said, it is always nice to start and/or end the preseason at home, and San Diego will get to do just that.
