San Diego Chargers: OLB Larry English's contract officially voided

Larry English's contract was voided today, and he has likely played his last snap with the San Diego Chargers. The outside linebacker was a bust, taken 16th overall in the 2009 NFL Draft.

Hey, look. Actual San Diego Chargers news!

Well, that was predictable. This wasn't anything that the Chargers did, nor was it anything that Larry English did. Basically, his contract was set to expire today if the team didn't sign and submit something to the league office to activate the final year.

Thus ends the Larry English Era in San Diego. English was drafted in the 1st round of the 2009 draft as an eventual replacement for Shawne Merriman, but struggled with injuries and effectiveness in all five years he spent with the Chargers.

With English, Buster Davis and Jared Gaither gone from the Chargers roster, are there any bad contracts/draft picks left over from A.J. Smith's days as the team's GM?
