Chargers' Nick Hardwick Will Not Retire (Yet)

New, comments

In an article that was posted onto the official Chargers website, Hardwick said definitively that he will be back for his 11th season.

US PRESSWIRE

An article posted by Ricky Henne quoted the anchor of the Bolts offensive line for the last 10 seasons as "I plan on being back next year and giving them hell again". This is excellent news for the team, as it is one less position that needs to be addressed in free agency or the draft. It gives the team another season to see if Nick Hardwick's eventual replacement is on the roster right now or can be developed and groomed for one year without urgency.

This leaves only the two guard positions up in the air, as Chad Rinehart is a free agent and Jeromey Clary is expected to be released for cap savings or restructured. So, the first piece of real news involving a roster question mark this off season is positive.
