San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has been nominated once again for the FedEx Air Player of the Week award. You can CLICK HERE to vote for him now. Rivers appeared to be on his way to one of his ugliest games as a professional on Saturday, but he rebounded to lead his team back from a 21-point deficit to an overtime victory that kept the Chargers' season alive.
Rivers' final numbers on Saturday night included 356 passing yards and four touchdowns. 192 of those yards and two of those touchdowns came in the 4th quarter and overtime. This was one of the most impressive comebacks we've ever seen from El Capitan and he did it while throwing to rookie Dontrelle Inman (who was making his NFL debut) and handing off to the ghost of Ronnie Brown.
The competition this week is Ryan Tannehill and Eli Manning. They put up big numbers, but they did so in games that were glorified exhibitions between teams that were eliminated from the playoffs before kickoff. VOTE RIVERS NOW!
