Who is the player the San Diego Chargers count on to will them to victory when the chips are down? Duh. It's Philip Rivers!

Who is the most resilient player on the San Diego Chargers? The one that can will the team to victory on his own?

There's only one answer here, and we saw all the evidence we need on Saturday night. Without much of a running game, offensive line, or defense, Philip Rivers threw the team on his back and willed them to victory despite being down by 14 points in the fourth quarter.

There may be other players on the team that have more talent than Rivers, but they either don't play a position that allows them to will the team to victory (Eric Weddle) or they can't stay healthy (Ryan Mathews), so Rivers is the only one that the team can count on to be their captain when they need it most.

Here's to hoping that Rivers' back injury doesn't progress and that he's healthy enough to lead the team to a deep run in the playoffs this year.
