As far as the San Diego Chargers getting into the playoffs, there are a number of different ways in which it could happen. The simplest and most likely scenario? The Chargers beat the Chiefs next weekend and the Ravens lose to either the Texans today or the Browns this week.
That scenario would allow for the Bengals to win the AFC North and the Steelers to grab the other wild card spot, and the Chargers would win tie-breakers against the Ravens and Bills because they beat both head-to-head earlier in the season. It's all explained in great detail right here.
I don't even know who the Texans are starting at QB today or if he's ever played in the NFL before, but I will watch this game with fervor and root for Houston to topple the Ravens, leaving nothing but a win in Arrowhead Stadium standing between the Chargers and the 2014-15 NFL Playoffs.
