Week 15 Injury Report: Chargers vs Broncos

New, comments

Taking a look at this week's injury report for the San Diego Chargers as they get ready to face-off once again against their AFC West rivals, the Denver Broncos.

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

It looks like Mike Scifres has been officially declared out for this weekend's contest against the Broncos. Scifres suffered a shoulder injury in Sunday's game against the Patriots and was not able to practice at all this week, so the Chargers will be relying on recently signed Mat McBriar for the punting duties.

Ryan Carrethers comes into this matchup doubtful with an elbow injury, while Ryan Mathews and Corey Liuget are still suffering from ankle injuries and have been designated as questionable. Carrethers and Liuget were able to participate in light drills for Friday's practice, while Mathews was held out.

Ladarius Green suffered a concussion last week and has been designated as questionable as well for this game, but was able to have a light practice today.

For the Broncos, it looks like they could be without Jacob Tamme, as he as yet to practice, while Julius Thomas continues to recover from an ankle injury, but has been declared as probable for this weekend.

C.J. Anderson, Demaryius Thomas, and Wes Welker all missed practice earlier in the week, but returned Thursday for light drills and are expected to play this weekend.
