To me, the Chargers have had two elite quarterbacks in their 50-plus years of existence (although my former great colleague and Bolts historian Jerry Magee will argue you to your knees that John Hadl was just that). Jack Kemp might have had a chance, but Sid Gillman dealt him to Buffalo -- where he won two AFL titles and got the Bills to five title games -- for 100 clams.
