Well, here is some good news.
Chargers' Melvin Ingram returned to practice, remains on injured reserve-designated to return
— Aaron Wilson (@RavensInsider) November 10, 2014
Melvin Ingram was put on IR with a hip injury about two months ago, but it sounds like his return is right around the corner.
The San Diego Chargers defense, both this year and last year, is completely different when Ingram is on the field. His return, which appears to be coinciding or right behind the return of RB Ryan Mathews, could help to catapult the team into the postseason for the second consecutive season.
Jerry Attaochu, who was expected to take a lot of the snaps left by Ingram's injury, has struggled to get healthy and has missed almost as much time with a chronic hamstring issues. Dwight Freeney, as a result, has taken way more snaps than he should and could use a a break.
