PFF Preview: Chargers @ Broncos, Week 8 - Robert Habib
Although Freeney has only registered two sacks thus far, he has generated a pass rush grade of +8.5, that’s Top 10 for qualifying 3-4 outside linebackers. Freeney has 21 hurries, good for second among 3-4 outside linebackers and six hits on the quarterback, tied for eighth. He has done most of his damage from the right side of the defensive line. In fact, his rush percentage of 83.9% from the right side, is the third highest amid all qualifying 3-4 linebackers.

Philip Rivers: Scoring key, not playing keep-away from Peyton Manning - Eric Williams
"I don’t think we go into the game playing keep-away," Rivers said. "We go into the game playing to score. And if we score fast, great -- but we’ve got to score. You can’t go three to four possessions without scoring. We did that in the playoff game, and when you look up it was 21-0, 17-0 or whatever it was, just like that. And that’s not a team you want to be playing catch-up with all day long."

First Rounders in Review - Khaled Elsayed
Analysis: No rookie cornerback has graded out as well with Verrett sitting fourth overall in his positional rankings. That’s even more impressive considering his limited snap count.
