Scouting Report: Chargers vs. Jets - Ricky Henne
New York is stout against the run, ranking first in the NFL giving up only 63.2 yards per game.  Their defensive line is one of the most talented in the league, comprised of Muhammad Wilkerson, Sheldeon Richardson and Damon Harrison as starters.  The secondary hopes to have Dee Milliner back after missing three of the first four games of the season.

PFF All-Star Team: First Quarter - Khaled Elsayed
Quarterback: Philip Rivers, SD; The top-ranked pure passer in our grading system, Rivers has had to fight off fierce competition from Aaron Rodgers and Andrew Luck. Still, the way he’s handled a line that has allowed too much pressure speaks volumes for where he’s at right now.

Race for Rookie of the Year, Week 4 - Khaled Elsayed
9. Jason Verrett, CB, SD: +2.9; More playing time and more plays will push him up this list. For now he’s doing a good enough job as a sub-package defender. Will need to do more if he’s to stay here.

Philip Rivers - AFC Offensive Player of Month! - Ricky Henne
Rivers has completed at least 72% of his passes over the Bolts’ three game winning streak, which is one game shy of the longest stint of his career.   He’s posted a passer rating over 120.0 in the Chargers’ last three games, matching a career high.  By throwing a TD in each of the first four games, he’s now tossed for a score in 24 straight games, setting a new Chargers’ record in the process.
