While I'm sure you're more pre-occupied with the San Diego Chargers' matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals this week, which is technically 2014, the NFL went ahead and announced the opponents for each team next season.
Without further ado, here are the Chargers home and away opponents in 2014:
Home: Broncos, Chiefs, Raiders, Patriots, Jets, Jaguars, Rams, Seahawks
Away: Broncos, Chiefs, Raiders, Bills, Dolphins, Ravens, Cardinals, 49ers
At first glance, I want to say 'yikes'; the NFC West is a tough draw - who would have thought that two years ago? - and should get tougher once you consider that the Rams hold the #2 overall selection in addition to their own selection, thanks to the RG3 deal with the Redskins.
However, because the NFL has so much parity, I've found the pre-season strength-of-schedule to mean relatively nothing historically. Case in point: the Falcons and Texans were among the favorites to win their conferences in 2013, but instead were the first two teams eliminated from playoff contention.
Which games stand out to you the most? I imagine the Seahawks will be the toughest ticket to get your hands on.
