The fact that San Diego Chargers Head Coach Mike McCoy even hinted that the team could play OLB/DE Dwight Freeney on Injured Reserve, and that Freeney could miss the remainder of the season, tells you how serious yesterday's injury was.
Despite walking off the field under his own power, Freeney likely isn't going to be able to run at full speed for a few months. Larry English will slide into his spot as a starter and the team's best pass rusher (maybe). This could be English's last chance to live up to his potential as a first-round draft pick in 2009.
