What was perhaps most impressive, and a large part of his +5.8 passing grade, was the fact that under pressure he completed 72.7% of his passes and still had a passer rating of 92.6.

Is he back? It’s too soon to tell and he won’t face many defenses as generous as the Eagles. But, and it’s an important but, he looked more composed than he has in a very long time. His 76.6% completions percentage highlighted this, and that was with his receivers dropping four balls.
'Had a Bad Day' Team, Week 2 - Khaled Elsayed
Two guys with more talent than they let on this week. Liuget was no match for the combo of Evan Mathis and Jason Peters, while Bowen was a complete non-factor against the Packers’ passing attack. It didn’t help that they got him moving at will with their zone blocking scheme.
Upon Further Review: Chargers Week 2 - Bill Williamson
For the second straight week, San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers looked good under new coach Mike McCoy. Rivers completed 36 of 47 passes for 419 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. He now has seven touchdown passes and one interception in two games. He looks refreshed and confident. It is also getting good protection. Kudos to a maligned offensive line. It has played well in the first two games.
Clutch Encounters: Week 2 - Scott Kacsmar
Could Rivers really put the Chargers ahead for a third time in the fourth quarter, or would the evil Mr. Hyde show up again? Keep in mind Rivers and San Diego have been on a 2-20 stretch in their last 22 game-winning drive opportunities. He had led the Chargers to points of any kind in the fourth quarter or overtime, tied or down 1-8 points, on just five of his last 44 drives (11.4 percent).
