Injury Report: Chargers LB Manti Te'o ruled out against Philadelphia Eagles

Manti Te'o's debut in the NFL is delayed another week as the San Diego Chargers rookie linebacker continues to recover from a foot injury.

Christian Petersen

San Diego Chargers

Out

Manti Te'o, LB (foot)

Probable

Sean Lissemore, DE (elbow)

Corey Liuget, DE (shoulder)

Brandon Taylor, S (knee)

None of those are new. Te'o and Liuget have been hurt for a month and Taylor's recovering from offseason knee surgery. Lissemore is probably new, but he practiced fully on Friday and is probably just fine.

Bront Bird is expected in place of Manti Te'o at inside linebacker next to Donald Butler.

Philadelphia Eagles

Out

Bradley Fletcher, CB (concussion)

Dennis Kelly, T (back)

That's pretty big news. Dennis Kelly is a backup offensive tackle, but Fletcher is one of the Eagles' starting cornerbacks. He might even be their best corner. I'm not sure that's good news for any one, particular, Chargers receivier, but it's fantastic news for Philip Rivers and Ken Whisenhunt.
