Per Michael Gehlken, the San Diego Chargers signed inside linebacker Reggie Walker today:
Chargers agree to one-year deal with ILB Reggie Walker. Strong special teams player, played for ST coach Kevin Spencer in Arizona.

The signing of Walker makes sense on several levels. he's a standout special teamer that has played under the Chargers' new special teams coach before. He was playing with Arizona's first team nickel package during the preseason, and it was a bit of a surprise for the Cardinals' fan base when he was cut this weekend.
Walker played just over 200 snaps in Arizona last year, and his primary strength as a linebacker is in coverage. He has had below average success both against the run and when asked to rush the passer. The 2013 San Diego Chargers roster isn't exactly overflowing with inside linebackers that can cover, though, so Walker will be a helpful addition.
To make space for Walker on the roster the San Diego Chargers waived LB D.J. Smith.
