Chargers waived former Michigan center Dave Molk, a 2012 seventh-round pick, per source. Seems like good sign for Johnnie Troutman.

Here's one that I initially called incorrectly, but changed once I saw that Rich Ohrnberger was the San Diego Chargers starting center against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday.
David Molk was once viewed as the heir apparent to Nick Hardwick as the team's starting center, but he seemed to struggle with the new offense and new offensive line coach Joe D'Alessandris during this year's training camp and preseason games.
Molk will likely be picked up by another NFL team and possibly groomed into being a starter one day, but his time as with the Chargers is officially over.
