49ers vs. Chargers final score: San Francisco cruises to an easy 41-6 victory in San Diego

The San Diego Chargers are happy that they won't have to face the San Francisco 49ers in the regular season after getting dominated in the final preseason game of the 2013 season.

Well, that wasn't great. Some thoughts, while looking at the final score and reminding myself that the preseason doesn't matter and is over anyway:

Mike Scifres, who is a very important player for the San Diego Chargers this season and every season, was injured on a blocked punt. Looked like a strained or pulled groin muscle to me, but I'm not a doctor.

Robert Meachem looked like he might be showing enough to warrant a roster spot before leaving the game with what appeared to be a concussion.

Brad Sorensen looked a little shakier than he has been, and Charlie Whitehurst looked solid without much of an offensive line in front of him. The offense, as a whole, never really got anything going. The different in talent and depth between the Chargers' offensive line and the 49ers' defensive line is staggering.

Fozzy Whittaker secured himself a spot on the team and might be a solid option as a kick returner as well. Does he make Ronnie Brown expendable?

Richard Marshall got on the field long enough to get one tackle.

Ladarius Green continues to look like a star, and the type of player that you change your offensive gameplan to get him involved more often.

Seyi Ajirotutu is, for some reason, only a good receiver when he's on the Chargers.

I'm sure I'll have more thoughts when I get a chance to rewatch the game. For now, let's just be happy that we won't have to see Colin Kaepernick again this season.
