Chargers waived-injured Danario Alexander. Doubt he's claimed. A team must pay $1.323m salary with rehab costs for a 2014 unrestricted FA.

Nothing to worry about here. As Gehlken clearly explains, there is absolutely no benefit to a team claiming Danario Alexander off waivers.
As I said when Alexander initially tore his ACL, I'm pretty sure his career is done. His knees are barely good enough to walk on at this point, let alone try to run past an NFL cornerback on.
I'm surprised to hear that he would go from being a restricted free agent to being an unrestricted free agent without playing in a game.
It'll be interesting to see how Alexander recovers from his torn ACL, considering Melvin Ingram seems so far ahead of schedule with his recovery from the same injury.
