Here's something for your Friday morning: San Diego Chargers Fullback Le'Ron McClain will be joining joined SB Nation's Dan Rubenstein and Matt Ufford, and their show "Halfy Hour", at 11am Pacific today.
I have no idea what they'll be talking about, or if McClain will even be a San Diego Charger this season, but for us fans that are starving for information and insight about the team heading into training camp, this should be fun.
McClain was signed last offseason and eventually won the starting Fullback position over Jacob Hester, who was released at the end of the 2012 preseason. A.J. Smith hoped that a new blocker would improve the running game, and help Ryan Mathews, but injuries along the offensive line kept either thing from happening.
This offseason, Tom Telesco and Mike McCoy came together to bring in Chris Gronkowski, who played Fullback for McCoy with the Denver Broncos and seems to be a better fit for the spread-passing offense that McCoy and Ken Whisenhunt have talked about installing in San Diego.
