As the weekend rumbled to a close, Chargers fans began to accept the news that D.J. Fluker, Manti Te'o, and Keenan Allen were set to be a part of the team's future, whether they liked it or not.
What slid under the radar was the news that part of San Diego's past was moving on:
Door was open for Shaun Phillips to return to Chargers. He won't. Outside linebacker to sign with Broncos, source confirms.

In terms of his on-field production, I'll leave it to the capable writers/analysts at BFTB to tell you why Shaun Phillips is gone. As for me I can only look back with a sense of nostalgia.
Shaun Phillips brought to San Diego an unparalleled commitment to butchering the English language while simultaneously pumping up his own ego. His ability to ignore the red squiggly line beneath a misspelled word will not be forgotten by this fan.
Good luck, SP95.
I will address this one time only. I have nothing but postive things to say about the Chargers.when i played ... m.tmi.me/TItKs
