BREAKING: Doug Manchester Purchases Vox Media

There's important news out of San Diego today, as the Manchester Financial Group has announced that they have purchased Vox Media for an undisclosed amount. Founder of the Manchester Financial Group, Doug Manchester, has become a common topic at this community after purchasing the San Diego Union-Tribune (now "U-T San Diego") and the North County Times (now disbanded).

For those of you that are unaware, Vox Media owns SB Nation and they own Bolts from the Blue. After a brief discussion with my bosses, it would appear that my job as Managing Editor of Bolts from the Blue is safe (for the moment). However, there may be a few changes to the staff. I don't know if that means Scott Kaplan will be a part of BFTB or not, but I guess it wouldn't surprise me at this point.

I'm going to do my best to keep this site and community as good as it's ever been but, with "Papa Doug" in charge, I can't guarantee anything.
