NFL Offseason Schedule 2013: Important dates on the NFL calendar

The NFL released a full off season schedule and we're breaking down all of the key dates to mark on your calendar between now and the start of the 2013 NFL season.

With the season officially over, and not just over for the Chargers (there's a gap of over a month between the two, y'know), it's time to take a look at the NFL offseason schedule:

NFL Spring League Meeting

March 12, 2013 marks the beginning of the 2013 League Year. Prior to the 1:00 PM PT deadline, teams must submit any qualifying offers to Restricted Free Agents, exercise any 2013 options on players with option in their 2012 contracts, and submit minimum salary offers to retain exclusive negotiating rights to players without three seasons of free agency credit, . Teams must also be under the salary cap by 1:00 PM, using the Top 51 rule. Trading and free agency negotiations may start at 1:00 PM.
