CB-needy Chargers make claim - Bill Williamson
Patrick was a third-round pick in 2011 and he is just 24. Talented cornerbacks are always worth taking a flier on. It is especially intriguing in San Diego because the Chargers need depth at the position. Starting cornerbacks Quentin Jammer and Antoine Cason are both free agents. At least one of the two is expected to sign elsewhere. So, giving Patrick a chance may be worthwhile.

Chargers Nab Cornerback Johnny Patrick - Ricky Henne
The 24-year-old Patrick is a native of DeLand, Florida. He attended the University of Louisville where he was a first-team All-Big East pick as a senior and finished his career with 171 tackles, 22 passes defensed, nine interceptions and two blocked field goals. Patrick also competed as a sprinter on the Cardinals’ track and field team as both a freshman and sophomore.
