San Diego Chargers Injury Report
Player | Injury | Wed | Thu | Fri | Status |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
WR Eddie Royal | Toe | DNP | DNP | DNP | Questionable |
T Jeromey Clary | Hand | LP | LP | FP | Probable |
LB Thomas Keiser | Elbow | FP | FP | FP | Probable |
DT Sean Lissemore | Shoulder | FP | FP | LP | Probable |
RB Ryan Mathews | Ankle | DNP | DNP | LP | Probable |
CB Shareece Wright | Foot | DNP | LP | FP | Probable |
It should come as no surprise to many of you that as the Chargers players have gotten healthier as a team, they've started playing better. It's already been broken down before that the marked improvement of the defense has been a combination of players coming back from injury and John Pagano scheming better.
The biggest concern this week was the status of Ryan Mathews. He missed a few plays last week and was seen in a walking boot. He only practiced once this week, and was limited in practice, but is listed as probable. So his ankle injury doesn't seem to be anything serious.
Aside from that, it looks like the Chargers are at full strength (excluding those players on IR).
Kansas City Chiefs Injury Report
Player | Injury | Wed | Thu | Fri | Status |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
WR Dwayne Bowe | Concussion | - | DNP | DNP | Out |
LB Tamba Hali | Knee | DNP | DNP | DNP | Out |
T Branden Albert | Knee | FP | FP | FP | Probable |
T Eric Fisher | Shoulder | FP | FP | FP | Probable |
LB Justin Houston | Elbow | FP | FP | FP | Probable |
LB James-Michael Johnson | Shoulder | FP | FP | FP | Probable |
CB Ron Parker | Ankle / Shoulder | FP | FP | FP | Probable |
T Donald Stephenson | Knee | FP | FP | FP | Probable |
K Ryan Succop | Rt. Groin | FP | FP | FP | Probable |
The Chiefs are going to be without Dwayne Bow and Tamba Hali this week. All other players were full participants and listed as probable. Their being out doesn't seem to be as much concern because Andy Reid has already said he'll mix starters and backups and I imagine that by the second half, neither of those guys would ever see the field the rest of the game.
