Wes Welker Injury: Broncos WR to miss Chargers game on Thursday night

When the Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers meet on Thursday Night Football, Denver will be without Derek Wolfe on defense and Wes Welker on offense.

San Diego Chargers

Questionable

Johnny Patrick, CB (ankle)
Eddie Royal, WR (toe)

Probable

Keenan Allen, WR (shoulder)
D.J. Fluker, OT (ankle)
Lawrence Guy, DE (toe)
Nick Hardwick, C (neck)
Jarret Johnson, OLB (hand)
Sean Lissemore, DE/NT (toe)
Corey Liuget, DE (knee)
Shareece Wright, CB (foot)

Quite the healthy team the Chargers have for this late in the season. I'm still surprised that Jarret Johnson is back from surgery so quickly, but I won't question it. I'm also glad to see that Keenan Allen is just fine after missing part of the Giants game.

Denver Broncos

Out

Wes Welker, WR (concussion)
Derek Wolfe, DE (illness)

Questionable

Champ Bailey, CB (foot

Probable

Mike Adams, S (thumb)
C.J. Anderson, RB (illness)
Omar Bolden, CB (shoulder)
David Bruton, S (shoulder)
Eric Decker, WR (ribs)
Joel Dreessen, TE (knee)
Trindon Holliday, WR (shoulder)
Malik Jackson, DE (knee)
Winston Justice, OT (finger)
Chris Kuper, G (ankle)
Peyton Manning, QB (ankle)
Knowshon Moreno, RB (shoulder)
Demaryius Thomas, WR (shoulder)
Julius Thomas, TE (knee)
J. D Walton, C (ankle)

Whew, by comparison this Broncos team is a wreck. Everyone has some sort of injury.

Derek Wolfe missing the game is huge for the Broncos defensive line and their pass rush. Missing Wes Welker on offense might be even more important. Missing Champ Bailey doesn't mean as much as it once did, but the Chargers will take any breaks they can get at this point.
