Open Thread: Miami Dolphins at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Monday Night Football

Monday Night Football this weeks features a battle for "supremacy" in Florida.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The great state of Florida currently has three NFL representatives. The state of California currently has three NFL representatives. In Florida, those three teams currently have a cumulative record of 5-20 (.200 winning percentage). The three teams in California currently have a cumulative record of 13-14 (.482 winning percentage). Clearly, California is better than Florida.

Keep an eye on Miami, as they're the Chargers' next opponent. Use tonight's game as a sort of scouting session for next week.

Yesterday, the unthinkable happened: the Jacksonville Jaguars won a game. That leaves the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the only team in the NFL yet to win a game. Up until yesterday, 67% of the NFL teams in Florida had yet to win a game through 8 games. Ouch.

Can Tampa Bay keep up with Jacksonville and win their first game of the season tonight? Can Miami get back above .500 with a win tonight? We'll just have to watch the game to find out.
