The Final 9 - Ben Higgins
Trying to forecast the 2nd half of the season is a fool’s errand. Well, it’s time for this fool to take a stab at how the Chargers (4-3) will fare in their final 9 games of the season.

QB Watch: San Diego Chargers' Philip Rivers - Eric Williams
Can Rivers keep up his torrid, statistical pace for the rest of 2013? I don’t see any signs of him slowing down, as long as he plays within the framework of offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt’s take-what-they-give-you system. Rivers leads the league in completion percentage (73.9) and is second in the NFL in passing yards (2,132) and passer rating (111.1).

Mostly NFL Notes: A Week 7 Recap - Dalton Del Don
Philip Rivers got 6.8 YPA while fumbling 15 times last season. Through seven games this year, he’s gotten 8.6 YPA while fumbling zero times. He’s also completed an NFL-high 73.9 percent of his passes and is on pace to finish with a career-high 34 touchdown passes. Considering he’s 31 years old and lost both of his top two wide receivers to injuries, it’s been one of the more surprising story lines of 2013.

Race for Rookie of the Year, Week 7 - Khaled Elsayed
9. D.J. Fluker, OT, Chargers: +3.4; Allowed two hits and two hurries. Suffice to say he’s better suited to life on the right side of the line and his grade took a hit when asked to fill in on the left side.

32 Observations, Week 7 - Nathan Jahnke
Two reasons we’ve seen a better Philip Rivers in 2013 is he is under pressure less frequently (38.3% of drop-backs to 28.0%), and he is more accurate on his passes when under pressure (57.6% Accuracy Percentage to league leading 75.9%).

Pro Bowl Cheat Sheet: Unconferenced - Khaled Elsayed
There was never any doubt that Manning would make it. He’s comfortably our top-ranked quarterback and despite the setback against the Colts, having a season for the ages. It’s been his accuracy that has been the key to his dominance and that’s something he shares with Rivers as you can tell from our Accuracy Percentage signature stat. Rivers leads the way at 82.9% with Manning just behind him 80.6%.

Week 7 Quick Reads - Vince Verhei
Twelve of Mathews' 21 carries gained positive DYAR, including four gains of 10 or more yards and a 3-yard touchdown. The only pass thrown his way went incomplete.

ReFo: Chargers @ Jaguars, Week 7 - Michael Renner
Rivers (+2.6) flat out was not missing his targets on Sunday. The Chargers’ quarterback completed 22 of 26 passes and of those four misses, one was a batted pass, one was a throw away, and yet another he was hit as he threw. That means that on Rivers’ targeted passes, he went 22 of 23.

Upon Further Review: Chargers Week 7 - Eric Williams
Philip Rivers and the rest of San Diego’s offense performed well on third down, coverting 7 of 12 in the win over Jacksonville. Putting together better production on third down and in the red zone was a point of emphasis for the Chargers this week.
