Open Thread: Indianapolis Colts at San Diego Chargers, 2nd Half

The San Diego Chargers head to the locker room at the half the beneficiaries of a 10-6 lead.

It's difficult to score points when your offense is kept off the field. Eight nights after their absolute meltdown at the hands of the Oakland Raiders, the San Diego Chargers look like the more poised team against the Indianapolis Colts. The Chargers have a 18:00-to-12:00 time of possession advantage.

The Colts are 0-for-5 on third-down conversions, who would have thought that was even possible considering how bad the Chargers were defending third down last year. (The Chargers are 4-for-7 if you're wondering). The Chargers have even gotten 3 first downs thanks to penalties by the Colts.

If the Chargers can keep the poise they showed in the first half, and if John Pagano can keep his defense dialed up, the Chargers have a chance to actually win this game. If the Chargers have one of their characteristic meltdowns in the 4th Quarter, then who would really be surprised?

This guy has been pleasantly surprised by the first half and I certainly hope they keep it up.

Go Chargers!
