There Is No Red Zone: The NFL's Scoring Myth - Kirk Goldsberry with Kevin Meers
The red zone is not a real place on any football field, and its prominence in football parlance is only limiting our understanding of the game. After spending thousands of hours of my life with Dierdorf, Buck, and all the other great orators of our time, it’s still unclear to me why everyone seems to think the "red zone" is an acceptable concept.

There is No Red Zone: The NFL's Scoring Myth - Aaron Schatz
So yes, there is no red zone. But really, there is a red zone. It just happens to be a general concept rather than a tangible, physical area that exists only between the 20-yard line and the end zone. Chargers Thrilled to Retain Pagano as DC - Ricky Henne

McCoy Retaining Four Defensive Coaches - Ricky Henne
"I’m very excited to be back here to continue to work with coach Pagano" said Barry. "We have unfinished business. We played very well last year but I think we can play even better. It’s great to be here with Coach Mike McCoy. I’m encouraged by the little bit of time we’ve gotten to visit. I’m very excited about his vision and what he sees this team and this defense doing. It’s obviously great to still be a Charger and I’m very excited about our future."

Fan Forum Replay with Mike McCoy - Ricky Henne
As a continuation of the team’s upgraded season ticket holder benefits, the Chargers conducted a Fan Forum with Head Coach Mike McCoy this afternoon. Here is a replay of the 35 minute call.

Chargers add to staff - Bill Williamson
He is the third former Arizona coach named to new coach Mike McCoy’ staff. Spencer was the special teams coach in Arizona under Ken Whisenhunt. Whisenhunt is McCoy’s offensive coordinator. Former Arizona receivers coach Frank Reich is San Diego’s quarterbacks coach.
