Well, this is unfortunate.
OLB Devan Walker placed on "Reserve-Injured" http://t.co/vFSzySZ49M #ChargersCamp
— San Diego Chargers (@chargers) August 7, 2013
Walker was one guy I saw at Fan Fest that stood out to me because he was so small compared to the other Outside Linebackers. I worried that he wouldn't be able to make the team because he wouldn't contribute a ton to Special Teams, but now he gets to be a San Diego Chargers for the entire season. Injuries/careers are funny that way.
Devan Walker will be around the complex, getting treatment, and might even travel with the team. He could probably learn a lot from guys like Dwight Freeney and Jarret Johnson this season. Perhaps that'll be enough for him to have a good camp next year and possibly make the 2014 San Diego Chargers.
