Key to the Game

It's early in the season, so I'll pick an easy one: Turnovers.

Do you know how many times the San Diego Chargers won the turnover battle in their first 11 games last season? Only once. They had a record of 4-7, which would be too big of a hole for them to dig themselves out of, because they could not create turnovers on defense and could not keep from giving the ball up on offense.

In 2012, the San Diego Chargers have already matched their number of turnover battle victories in the first 11 games of 2011. They are one-for-one. If they can go two-for-two, creating more turnovers for the Titans offense than they can give back with interceptions by Philip Rivers or fumbles by other offensive playmakers, they should be well on their way to victory.
