Whether or not we're ready to, it's time to move back to news about the 2012 San Diego Chargers. Today, all 32 NFL teams announced their schedules for mini camps and OTAs (organized team activities). Here is the Bolts' in chronological order:
- May 11-13: Mini Camp (rookies only)
- May 29-31: OTAs
- June 5-7: OTAs
- June 11-14: OTAs
- June 19-21: Mini Camp
The rookies were given playbooks on the day they were drafted (or when they visited San Diego shortly afterward) and have another 9 days to study before they'll be tested and critiqued on the field. They'll then be sent home for more studying and will spend large chunks of June in San Diego with the rest of the team.
Training camp will start sometime around the end of July and will run through the preseason (which ends on 8/30). Then it's time for regular season football once more.
We are merely weeks away from turning on the giant machine that is the National Football League back on for another year, people!
