The roster moves to try and repair the San Diego Chargers offensive line keeping coming. Now hear this:
Chargers have signed Reggie Wells and placed Antwan Barnes on Reserve/Injured with a hamstring injury.
— Ricky Henne (@ChargersRHenne) December 5, 2012
You'll remember Reggie Wells as the guy the Chargers signed back in September before the Titans game. Wells was drafted in the 6th round of the 2003 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals, where he started 90 games over seven seasons. Wells has mostly been a fringe player, getting signed and cut multiple times each season it seems like, for the last three seasons. In 2012 alone he's been a Green Bay Packer, a San Diego Charger, a Buffalo Bill and now again a San Diego Charger.
On Sunday against the Steelers, Wells could be the main backup at Offensive Guard if Tyronne Green or Rex Hadnot are too injured to play. If they're both too injured, Wells is probably the favorite to start at Left Guard.
This is just one more step towards the eventual on-field murder of Philip Rivers by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Maybe he should be benched for his own safety.
