NFL Week 15: Staff Picks

And with three weeks to go, it's still anybody's game.

Andy Lyons

Prior to last week's slate of games, Jeff held a slim one game advantage over second place. Unfortunately for Jeff he failed to submit his picks and was stuck with all road teams. Road teams enjoyed an ugly 6-10 week, so Jeff is now sitting in second place himself three games back. He's still one game ahead of Superduperboltman and JKvandal who are tied for third place.

All of that is to say that, I (yes, I) am now in sole possession of first place with a three game lead and only three weeks left to go. Will I be able to blow such a lead? Almost certainly, but not this week as Jeff and I only disagree on two contests. He likes the NFC East to triumph over the AFC North in both Philadelphia and Cleveland. And because I'm a hopeless masochist, I'll actually be rooting for the Eagles to prevail against Cincinnati because that keeps the Chargers' slim playoff hopes alive.

Speaking of the Chargers, five of our eight staff members that submitted picks like the Chargers to win at home against Ron Rivera's Panthers. For that reason and because the Chargers are a very poor football team, Carolina will probably get to celebrate a victory.

The Dolphins, Packers, Saints and Lions are the only unanimous picks this week. All are road teams. What does that mean? Nothing. I just thought it was interesting. You shut up.

Let us know in the comments who you think will win this week and why we're wrong.
