NFL Week 12: Staff Picks

After last week's impressive run (well, impressive for everyone not named Orz) nobody is in danger of falling below .500 any time soon.

Jeff still sits atop the standings after an 11-3 week, but I made up ground again with my 12-2 showing. Far more important than the battle for 1st, however, is the struggle to not finish last. AvengingJM currently rests one game behind the Reverse Oracle, Dana. They both matched my staff best 12-2 mark in Week 11 and it remains possible that one or both of them could surpass our fearless leader, John Gennaro.

This week, there's quite a bit of agreement going on as even those punished with all away picks are largely on the side of the majority as there are more road favorites than normal going into Thanksgiving weekend. JK, Orz and I are the only ones that like Dallas at home against the Redskins on Thanksgiving Day while absolutely nobody is siding with the Lions or Jets against the far superior Texans and Patriots.

Among those actually making their picks on time, we also have unanimously predicted wins for Denver, Cincinnati, Seattle and San Francisco. No doubt this means Seattle and San Francisco will lose while Denver and Cincy will still hold on since their losses would be good for San Diego and nothing good is going to happen to or for San Diego this year. Count that as my strongest prediction for the rest of the season: nothing good will happen to or for San Diego Chargers fans.
