Open Thread: Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers

Two of the three teams tied for first place in the NFC West face off tonight.

I bet some of that paint got up into her brain.

In a matchup of two Head Coaches that were rumored to be candidates to take over if/when Norv Turner is fired but now have landed better jobs elsewhere, the Seahawks travel to San Francisco to take on the 49ers and San Diego native Alex Smith at QB.

Pete Carroll may be completely out of his mind, but the dude is Belichick-ian in his understanding of defense and defensive personnel. I wouldn't want to face that Seahawks team this season. They are fast, furious and terrifying.

Jim Harbaugh has taken the 49ers from laughing stock to one of the league's best teams with essentially the same personnel. He's somehow instilled discipline, fire and a mastery of "the little things" and talent has taken care of the rest.

Should be a good matchup and game. Chat about it in the comments below.
