The San Diego Chargers had a great opportunity handed to them last week. Every other team in the AFC West lost their games, and it was a chance for them to put an early nail in the coffin for their rivals. Beat the Saints and get a 2 game lead heading into a Monday night matchup against the Denver Broncos. They missed that opportunity, poor referees or not.
Luckily for them, the Chiefs and Raiders both lost again this week and a Chargers win would mean a loss for the Broncos. Again, the Bolts have a chance to get a 2 game lead on the division and start the season with a 3-0 record against the AFC West. Standing in their way will be Peyton Manning, Demaryius Thomas and the Denver Broncos two-headed pass rush monster known as "Doom and Gloom".
