The Chargers are coming back home to face the red hot Tebows. After putting together three great quarters of football, Philip Rivers returned to 2011 form by throwing two interceptions. While still putting up a respectable day, he crushed the hopes of Chargers fans last Sunday. Enough with real football, let's get to the fake stuff.
QB - 31
HB - 11
WR - 27
TE - 4
Philip Rivers - Rivers has now scored in double digits six of the last seven games. The patch work offensive line gave Rivers enough time in Chicago and he produced. I expect more of the same this week. Prediction: 325 yards and two touchdowns.
Ryan Mathews - Mathews has a (short) history against the Broncos, but if it's any indication of things to come on Sunday, then things looked good for RM24 owners. Prediction: 115 total yards
Mike Tolbert - Big question with Tolbert is all about the number of touches. Mathews fumbled again last week, which opens the door for Tolbert. If anything he will get the goal line carries. Prediction: 75 total yards and a touchdown.
Vincent Jackson - Just when you think Jackson is a waste, he shows up and goes for 150+. The last couple season Jackson has struggled against the Broncos. I expect him to disappoint owners once again. Prediction: Four catches for 45 yards.
Vincent Brown - Floyd went for over 100 yards last time the Chargers faced the Broncos. With Floyd out that opens the door for Brown to break out. Prediction: five catches for 75 yards and a touchdown.
Antonio Gates - The Broncos are very good against tight ends this year. They have only allowed one double digit scoring day all year. I don't see that changing this week. Prediction: four catches for 45 yards.
Here are some guys that have very strong plays based on matchups this week. I'm not telling you to start them, I'm just passing along some information, so don't shoot the messenger.
