Since the Chargers played on Thursday the fantasy post this week is going to be more general, which could be good or bad depending on how you look at it.  Fantasy players get a break from the bye weeks in week 10, so start your studs and don't look back.

"Great matchups" is simply a tool to use in case of close start/sit questions.  You don't want to bench studs for fringe players with great matchups, that's why I normally refer to this section as... cherry picking.

Top five quarterback matchups

  • Matt Cassel (DEN)
  • John Beck (MIA)
  • Mark Sanchez (NE)
  • Blaine Gabbert (IND)
  • Christian Ponder (MIN)

I wouldn't start any of these quarterbacks unless you are desperate, but then again, some of you may be desperate.

Top five running back matchups

Chris Johnson (CAR)

Maurice Jones-Drew (IND)

Chargers (We know how that went)

Houston (TB)

Steven Jackson (CLE)

Tate is a solid flex play this week, all four other running backs in the fold on this list are must starts.

Top five wide receiver matchups

Jets (NE)

Chiefs (DEN)

Jaguars (IND)

Vikings (GB)

Browns (STL)

Holmes, yes.  Buress in the flex, yes.  Bowe, hell yes.  Little, yes.  Anyone not on that list is still shaky and you probably have better options.

Top five tight end matchups

Brandon Pettigrew (CHI)

Scott Chandler (DAL)

Jacob Tamme (JAX)

Greg Olsen (TEN)

Owen Daniels (TB)

I'm sure these names are going to raise some questions in your lineup.  Pettigrew and Daniels should be starting for you, but the other three a shaky at best.  Tamme is probably available in your league, so if you are in a pinch, go get him.  Chandler is an all or nothing guy and Olsen is still splitting with Shockey.

Keep in mind what I said at the start of this story... roll with your studs.

That's going to wrap things up for this fake football post.  Remember if you have fantasy questions, hit me up on fantasydaddy.com from 8:30am to 9:30am Sunday morning and I will answer all fantasy football questions in the live chat.  If you tweet, feel free to send any start/sit questions to @fantasydaddy.
