Woah. The Chargers we've been waiting for all season decided to show up for the first half against the Jets, and are in control with an 11-point halftime lead.
Donald Butler started things off right, ripping the ball out of Dustin Keller's hands and running it back for the first defensive touchdown of his career. When the Jets drove down near the end zone, Eric Weddle picked off Mark Sanchez in the end zone. The Chargers took Weddle's interception and turned it into a nearly-7-minute drive that ended with an Antonio Gates touchdown on third down.
After the Jets responded with a long-drive and a Plaxico Burress touchdown, the Chargers drove down the field and scored one of their own thanks to Mike Tolbert.
The Chargers are leading the turnover battle 2-0, lead the game 21-10 and (outside of a few penalties by the defensive line) have done an excellent job of being cautiously aggressive. Let's hope they can keep it up in teh 2nd half.
