Open Thread: Dolphins at Jets on MNF

I know we don't typically do Monday Night Football open thread here at BFTB, but tonight's game is more than your average MNF game for fans of the San Diego Chargers. There are several reasons to pay close attention, and "several reasons" means I get to make a list! HUZZAH!

• The Chargers play the Jets on Sunday: Things to keep an eye on include everything: run defense, the Jets' offense, how well they defend Fasano, etc. Most importantly, with the short week NY is facing, will be injuries.
• The last team the Dolphins played was the Chargers: So how the Jets play against Miami will be an okay measuring stick to see how much better or worse they are than San Diego.
• A Jets loss makes next week much more interesting: New York has lost their last 3 games and nearly lost in Week 1 to the Dallas Cowboys. The only impressive win they had was over the Jaguars when Luke McCown threw them 4 interceptions. A loss to the Dolphins and they could explode, with all of their playoff chances going down the drain.
• A Jets win makes next week much more interesting: A Jets win equal a playoff atmosphere for them. They will be 2 games down to the Patriots and 1 game back to the Bills, with their next 5 games being against San Diego, @Buffalo, New England, @Denver and then Buffalo again. If they beat the Dolphins, Rex Ryan will try and get his team on a winning streak now when it means the most.
