Yeesh, 64.  After two easy perennial Hall of Famers, now this… With no other options, I’m gonna reach back in time.

The Winner

Pat_shea_medium

Pat Shea, G

Shea was a pretty good offensive lineman back in the day.  At least, that’s what the Shea’s tell me.  Pat was the starting Guard for the ’63 Championship team.  With the lack of any other suitable option, that’s certainly good enough to win!

The fact is that Shea only lasted 4 seasons with the team -- and in the NFL.  It may or may not have had something to do with the extreme "regimen" Sid Gillman had the OL on, including working with a "strength coach" and taking funny "pink pills."  Who knows what kind of affect it had on those guys back then.  But despite the short career, it was long enough for a Golden Jersey.
