As a supporter of the effort to keep the Chargers in San Diego, and hopefully get them a stadium built downtown (which seems to be the best spot for them), I got the following message e-mailed and me and immediately signed my name to a letter to be sent to the San Diego City Council. It took me all of about 5 seconds to do and, if you're a supporter of the downtown stadium idea, I would recommend you do the same.
The San Diego City Council will take up an issue that is critical to the Chargers’ stadium effort downtown.
They are going to vote on a study to determine whether or not the CCDC spending cap should be increased. If this cap is increased, it will pave the way for the Chargers to put the matter of public funding to a citywide vote in 2012. However, none of that is possible unless the Council moves forward with the initial study.
Please take a couple of minutes to fill out the form letter or your own personalized letter and share your opinion with the San Diego City Council regarding this critical study by clicking here, or copy & paste the link below into your internet browser.

If this study isn’t commissioned, the team will abandon their Downtown plans and potentially relocate to another metropolitan area.
Your help to persuade the San Diego City Council to vote to APPROVE this study is immensely critical in the Chargers stadium search.
