2010 NFL Power Rankings - Peter King - SI.com
2. San Diego. I didn't like how much the Chargers traded to get Ryan Mathews (the 28th and 40th picks in a strong draft) when they probably could have gotten him for less, but that doesn't mean I don't like what Mathews is going to do. I think he'll be the offensive rookie of the year. He has everything a good back needs -- opportunity (he should get 320 carries if healthy), playing from ahead a lot, and a good offensive line. And did I mention Philip Rivers will throw for 4,500 yards and contend strongly for MVP?

Chargers aren't being fair with Merriman - Mike Florio
The Chargers apparently are willing to trade linebacker Shawne Merriman.  But they're going about it the wrong way.

23-year-old center Greg Inglis, who won the Golden Boot Award -- given to rugby league's greatest player -- in 2009, has been offered tryouts with the Bills and the Broncos, according to agent Alan Gainey.

Ranking the receivers in the AFC West - Bill Williamson - ESPN
1. Vincent Jackson, San Diego: Jackson is by far the best in this class and is a superstar in the making. He’s big, fast, he works hard and he has great hands. He has it all.
2. Malcom Floyd, San Diego: There is a big drop off from Jackson to Floyd, but the Chargers are very excited about him. He’s tall, athletic and has a chance to break out in 2010.
