Still, it is a deep running back class and I think the Chargers will covet several players. If a nose tackle like Terrence Cody is available at No. 28, I could see San Diego filling that need first and then taking a running back later. In short, Mathews fits San Diego’s offense and he could be the choice, but he is one of several options.
