BFTB First Annual Mocking of the Draft: Week One

Well, our first go at this didn't get many responses, but I remain hopeful we'll get more participants as we go. Please remember that you can either leave your picks in the comments or e-mail them to me at RichardBrianWade at gmail dot com.

Anyway, on to the picks.

On the first three picks we mostly agree on position and with the third pick we even agree on player.  Pick four is a little more up in the air, though.

With the first overall pick, it's going to come down to whether or not Detroit thinks Sanchez or Stafford is a franchise quarterback.  If not, I think they go the Jake Long route and draft an elite left tackle like Andre Smith

St. Louis needs a replacement for Orlando Pace.  Whether they think one of the Smiths or Monroe (who by the way went to the same school as their first pick last year) is that guy should decide who they go with.

With the third pick, I really don't see the Chiefs taking anyone other than Curry right now.  I'm apparently not alone in that belief.

Seattle has a ton of holes and there is a lot of talent at a lot of different positions.  It will be very interesting to see which way they go.  I'm hopeful that they won't select an offensive tackle because I want a good one to slip to us.
